King James Yiye in Makurdi

The Internally Displaced People or IDPs in Nigeria's Benue State due to ravaging floods in Makurdi and other parts of the State have been turned back at the designated Federal Government Resettlement Hostel near Agan Toll Gate in the State Capital.

About 270 families mostly with women and children have been sent back by Contractors handling the project, saying they have not been paid.

Conditions at the Makurdi International Market where most families are now staying in a makeshift arrangement are terrible! There is no electricity, no toilet facilities and no water.
