Reasons you should quit Facebook

We all love Facebook. But the wise warn us against judging a book just by its cover. Why would I say such a thing about a very popular and widely-used social network? I have my reasons, and in this article, we are going to analyze them and give you a reason to quit Facebook.

Facebook is simply a business, a marketing agency and in the chase for profits. As a result, Facebook is designed and developed in such a manner that it lets you yearn for more. As a developer, or the owner of Facebook, I wouldn't want to bore or even lose a potential client. Thus, Facebook uses an enticing approach that keeps users coming for more. Whenever a user is on Facebook, information and on-time news might flash through hence making a user have an urge to refresh the webpage or online application. While joining Facebook with the aim of keeping in touch with people and the world, we find that most of the posts and links that come into our homepage feeds is full of advertisements and marketing posts. Take a look again and rethink why?

In addition, researchers have argued that it is an innate habit in which, man tends to compare his self being to others in the society. Facebook is an acute promoter of social comparison and social wounds that make people have a wounded self-esteem in the society. Addiction is another very vital issue to keep in mind as well, since people and relationships have broken apart all thanks to Facebook or something related. Some significant famous couple have seen the end of days all thanks to Social networks addiction.

Facebook is a network in which people post personal and intimate stuff making them vulnerable to malicious persons who are roaming in the internet aimlessly. Via Facebook, it is possible to deduce a person's detailed information without much fuss as people have already willingly provided such details. By being a member of Facebook, we are vulnerable to attacks that might end up being very costly. Illegal terrorist groups have gone to the extent of recruiting young and unsuspecting teenagers using the internet and especially social media. This has seen a rise of terrorist activities hence bringing about insecurity and unstable conditions in the globe at large.

Facebook wastes precious time. We use a lot of the precious time we have on checking on Facebook every now and then making us slaves and puppets to Facebook. A normal user spends an approximate of fifteen to twenty minutes on Facebook a day. Excessive staring of a screen with regard to this addictiveness, a person's health is affected which can lead to an impaired vision and inhibition of production of some growth hormones.

In fact, there are people on Facebook who have more than millions of friends and do not really need such. It can cause impaired judgment and make one's conscience distorted. Unless you are a celebrity only looking for fame and more and more views, which in that case should be to your beneficial gains such as financially, you really do not need as many friends.

Facebook tends to expose you as a user too much. This is a framework for vulnerability. We
