BUHARI: stop the killing of my people-Hon. Kyenge

BLOODBATH IN LOGO-Hon. Terna-Kester Kyenge tells Buhari/Ortom to intervene.

Following unprovoked attacks by Fulani Herdsmen on the people of Gabo, Nenzev and Turan Council Wards in Logo Local Government Area of Benue State Saturday afternoon‎, seven (7) persons including a community leader have been killed.

Member representing the affected communities at the Benue State House of Assembly, Terna-Kester Kyenge, PhD while on a visit to commiserate with the bereaved families says he strongly condemns the attacks on his people which are the least gruesome and barbaric.

Hon. Kyenge said he was moved to tears after he received the mutilated corpses while at the Local Government Headquarters to address the Council Leadership and hundreds of displaced people mostly women and children‎.

He also met with traditional rulers and security agencies towards finding lasting solutions to the continued spate of unwarranted killings and insurgence of Fulani herdsmen on his ancestral home.

‎Hon. Kyenge while calling on his people to ensue for peace and  restrain in spite of the obvious pain and loss, urges President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Samuel Ortom to as a matter of urgency intervene in arresting the culprits and bringing relief to his displaced constituents. "This is one cry too many", he says.
